Why is the Pagespeed so important?
Above all, the loading time of your page is especially important for the users. For example, half of your visitors expect your site to load in less than two seconds. If a page loads only one second longer, this can result in a 7% reduction in conversion rate and even an 11% decrease in total page views. It is therefore particularly important for you to meet the expectations of your visitors with regard to pagespeed.
But there is another major reason why loading times are important for your SEO: The Google Speed Update.
Since this update the loading times of domains are included directly in the largest search engine’s ranking calculation. This new metric rewards sites, that meet the users’ needs for fast loading times, with better rankings and correspondingly results in lower rankings for domains with slow pagespeeds.
